Idlwilde Inn occupies an 1892 Victorian mansion built as a summer house for Watkins Glen's well-to-do, perched on two and a half acres of lawns and formal gardens overlooking Seneca Lake. Architectural details survive throughout, including a grand staircase, sunrooms, and a turret room, while a wraparound porch and gazebo take in the water views. Fifteen rooms and suites are divided between the mansion and an adjacent carriage house, many with lake vistas.

A complimentary breakfast built on locally sourced ingredients is served each morning, and guests have high-speed Wi-Fi, on-site parking, electric vehicle charging, and concierge service. Downtown Watkins Glen, the lakefront marina, and the gorge trails of Watkins Glen State Park are all within a few blocks, with the Seneca Lake wine trail and Watkins Glen International nearby. The inn does not accept pets.
