Letchworth State Park Campground

a warm welcome to you.

Letchworth State Park follows the Genesee River as it carves a deep gorge through western New York, a landscape of sheer cliffs and major waterfalls that has long earned it the nickname the Grand Canyon of the East. The campground offers 270 tent and trailer sites in wooded loops, supplemented by cabins bookable from May into late November, with showers, grills, a playground and playing fields. Roughly 66 miles of hiking trails link the gorge overlooks and interior woodlands, and the park adds a swimming pool, gift shop, nature center, visitor center and rentable pavilions and shelters. Guided whitewater rafting and kayaking operate on the Genesee in season. Equestrian and snowmobile trails, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing extend use into winter. Rochester and Buffalo both lie within reasonable driving distance, making the park an accessible western New York base.
