Attractions in New York

Niagara Falls State Park is the oldest state park in the United States, spanning the American shoreline where the Niagara River drops over three waterfalls: the American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls and Horseshoe Falls. Entry to the park is free and it stays open year round, with paid attractions running seasonally. Visitors gather at Prospect Point for panoramic views, ride the Observation Tower elevator to the Maid of the Mist boat landing, descend wooden walkways to the Hurricane Deck at Cave of the Winds, and cross footbridges to Goat Island and the Three Sisters Islands. Hiking trails, interactive exhibits at the World Changed Here Pavilion, picnic areas and the Top of the Falls restaurant round out a visit. The Aquarium of Niagara sits beside park Lot 4, and Whirlpool and Devil's Hole State Parks lie a short drive downriver.
