The park's celebrated gorge trail passes 19 waterfalls in roughly a mile, threading stone bridges, spiral stairways and a path that runs behind Cavern Cascade. The campground occupies wooded ground on the upper rim and offers tent and trailer sites plus rustic cabins, with showers, grills, a playground and playing fields; an Olympic-size swimming pool operates in the park during the summer season. Fishing is available on Seneca Lake and Catharine Creek, and hiking connects to the wider Finger Lakes trail network. The village of Watkins Glen lies within easy walking distance, with the Seneca Lake wine trail, Watkins Glen International raceway and Montour Falls all close at hand.
