The Upstate Coffee 50th Anniversary Balloon Mini Documentary

We knew this event was going to be an amazing experience worth sharing, so we decided to make a the Upstate Coffee Adirondack Hot Air Balloon Festival Mini-documentary. This video was created with help from the board of the Adirondack Balloon Festival, our videographer Ethan Schalekamp, balloonist Michael Olin and the Upstate Coffee crew. Please enjoy!

Behind the scenes with the upstate Coffee crew!

The Upstate Coffee Hot Air Balloon Festival adventure was no ordinary feat; it was an extraordinary blend of dedication, camaraderie, meticulous planning and by far the most expensive event to date. The behind-the-scenes hustle of the Upstate Coffee crew was nothing short of a labor of love. Days began at the crack of dawn, with the team rising at 3 am and pushing boundaries until well past midnight for 3 days straight. Our makeshift home was a small grassy airport, where we set up camp to pass out as quickly as possible. We shared our tents next to small local airplanes that woke us up a few times as they nearly blew our tents over.

Amidst the backdrop of our two caffeine-fueled cafes were two massive 16-foot refrigerator trucks, a versatile four-wheeler, two camper cafes, and a convoy of three trucks—totaling 275 gallons of Upstate Coffee Cold Brew, 350 gallons of assorted milks, 600 gallons of water, lots of other coffee supplies and 8 crew members. We pulled it off, we are all very proud and we can’t wait for next year.
