Set on more than 120 acres along State Route 149 a few miles east of Lake George Village, Lake George RV Park has operated since 1966 and is among the Adirondacks' largest private camping resorts. Over 400 pull-through and back-in sites carry full hookups with 30- and 50-amp service, cable and Wi-Fi, alongside 26 park-trailer and cabin rentals.
On-site recreation is unusually extensive: five swimming pools including an indoor heated pool, the Cascade Cove water play area, six pickleball courts, tennis and basketball courts, an adult fitness center, arcades, a stocked fishing pond with paddle boats, and live entertainment at the French Mountain Playhouse. Charlie's Bark Park provides two acres of off-leash space. A complimentary resort trolley circulates the grounds and runs into Lake George Village.

Caldwell House Bed and Breakfast occupies a restored 1802 colonial on Orrs Mills Road in Salisbury Mills, in the lower Hudson Valley. Built by John Caldwell, an Irish linen merchant who left County Antrim after the 1798 United Irishmen rebellion, the white-pillared main house retains its crown molding and marble-trimmed fireplaces, and guest rooms carry Irish and local place names. Fourteen rooms spread across the Main House, Carriage House, and Connemara House, all with private baths, individually controlled climate, and smart TVs. Ten have fireplaces, and several add Jacuzzi or soaking tubs.
A full homemade breakfast is served in the dining room each morning, with coffee, tea, and snacks available around the clock. Storm King Art Center is about five minutes away, Brotherhood Winery two miles, and West Point and Woodbury Common roughly fifteen minutes. The Salisbury Mills-Cornwall train station sits about a mile away. Pets cannot be accommodated due to allergy concerns.

Idlwilde Inn occupies an 1892 Victorian mansion built as a summer house for Watkins Glen's well-to-do, perched on two and a half acres of lawns and formal gardens overlooking Seneca Lake. Architectural details survive throughout, including a grand staircase, sunrooms, and a turret room, while a wraparound porch and gazebo take in the water views. Fifteen rooms and suites are divided between the mansion and an adjacent carriage house, many with lake vistas.
A complimentary breakfast built on locally sourced ingredients is served each morning, and guests have high-speed Wi-Fi, on-site parking, electric vehicle charging, and concierge service. Downtown Watkins Glen, the lakefront marina, and the gorge trails of Watkins Glen State Park are all within a few blocks, with the Seneca Lake wine trail and Watkins Glen International nearby. The inn does not accept pets.

Black Sheep Inn occupies the 1859 T.M. Younglove Octagon House, a National Register historic property set on a knoll above the south end of Keuka Lake in Hammondsport. The eight-sided design is a rarity among the surrounding colonial homes, and its two and a half acres hold walking gardens, a flagstone patio, and a gazebo with a gas fire pit. Six suites, each named for a chapter in the house's history, have private baths and look out over the rear gardens and terrace or the front ridgeline across Pleasant Valley.
Original wood floors, wallpapered rooms, and period furniture carry through five indoor common areas, including a billiard room and the Cupola Ballroom. Mornings bring a two-course breakfast sourced locally, with salad grown on the property year-round. Massage services, a gift shop, and micro-wedding hosting are available, and the Keuka Lake wineries, breweries, and distilleries sit minutes away. Guest rooms are reserved for adults and children 12 and over, and the property is entirely smoke-free.
Benn Conger Inn

The Benn Conger Inn is a historic, family-owned inn and event venue set on 18 rolling acres overlooking the village of Groton in the Finger Lakes. Ten guest rooms and suites are divided between two restored historic homes. The Benn Conger Home, an example of Colonial Revival architecture built in 1921 as the residence of state senator Benn Conger, later served as a hideaway for bootlegger Dutch Schultz; it holds four oversized rooms and suites with private baths and antique furnishings. The neighboring Victorian Dempsey House adds six rooms and suites, each with a fireplace and a jetted tub or jacuzzi.
Guests may reserve individual rooms, either house, or the entire inn, which sleeps up to 28 and hosts weddings, corporate retreats and family gatherings. Downtown Ithaca, Cayuga Lake, Cornell University and the Cornell Botanic Gardens, regional wineries and breweries, and MacKenzie-Childs are all within a short drive.

Hotel Mountain Brook is a mountainside boutique lodge set on wooded grounds above the village of Tannersville in the Great Northern Catskills. Built in the Adirondack lodge tradition and restored as an upscale inn, the property spreads accommodations across a main lodge, an East Lodge annex, a multi-bedroom suite with a kitchen, and two standalone private cabins, The Raven and The Rose. A complimentary homemade breakfast with a continental buffet and a daily chef's special is served each morning, and a 24-hour coffee and tea bar is available to guests. The Lounge serves as a dining room by day and a bar with a stone fireplace by night, while a games room offers books, films, board games, shuffleboard and foosball. Outdoors there is a stone terrace for marshmallow roasting, a bocce court, and a yoga and stargazing deck. Hill Street leads down into downtown Tannersville, and Hunter Mountain, Belleayre Mountain, the Mountain Top Arboretum and the region's waterfalls and hiking trails are all close by.
Dogs of all sizes are welcome in East Lodge rooms and the three-bedroom suite; the main lodge and cabins are pet-free.
